Colombo International Container Terminals Ltd., (CICT) is a joint venture Company between China

Merchants Holdings (International) Co., Ltd. (CMHI), Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA).

It is developing the 2.4 million teus capacity Colombo South Container Terminal in the Port of Colombo, under a 35 year build, operate, and transfer agreement with the SLPA.

CICT CTOS project is an exemplary case on CMHIT clients list, the successful completion of the TOS project had been lasting only 6 months by CMHIT original project team, and the particular terminal case represents a green field TOS project, during which CMHIT delivered comprehensive Turn-Key IT solutions from ground to go live, the scope of the project consists of TOS go-live and training, telecommunication facilities and WIFI system, fiber optic network system, CCTV system, vehicle terminal system, cable network system, production and office hardware system and gate installation. The go live system language is in English.
